School Success Ideas for Families
Let's have perfect on-time attendance. Coming promptly to school at 8:20am is important because classes start immediately with breakfast and our SEL morning program. (Lateness and attendance are recorded in student records. ) Also, remember that school ends at 2:40p.m.

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,
It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of the P.S. 159 school community. This year has been unprecedented as we faced the challenges incurred by the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, there have been many changes, but what has not changed is our commitment to nurturing, supporting, and educating every student.
This year we are celebrating the return of students and staff to our school building and our theme is “Welcome Back Home.” I look forward to forming partnerships with you as we work together to ensure that every child becomes a life-long learner and reaches their academic potential through enriching curriculum, engaging hands-on activities, and inspiring teachers and staff.
The administrators, faculty and staff work diligently every day to provide rigorous relevant curricula for our students, in a COVID safe learning environment. As such, we are working meticulously to ensure that the school is safe for the return of our students, teachers, and staff. Our goal is to provide services that reflects a culture of learning, caring, respect, and quality.
It is my heartfelt privilege to serve as the Principal.
