School Success Ideas for Families
Let's have perfect on-time attendance. Coming promptly to school at 8:20am is important because classes start immediately with breakfast and our SEL morning program. (Lateness and attendance are recorded in student records. ) Also, remember that school ends at 2:40p.m.

STEM From Dance (SFD) envisions a world where underrepresented minority girls are creative, confident, and equipped to be leaders and innovators in the STEM fields. Through our integrated programming, girls acquire the awareness and prepare for a STEM education through the create and confidence-building aspects of dance.
The STEM From Dance and P.S. 159 residency program will give our student girls a deeper understanding of and interest in STEM careers and strengthen their STEM skillset. They will develop increased self-confidence and other traits needed to thrive in STEM careers as minority women.
