  • Reminder - School Starts Promptly at 8:20am!

    Let's have perfect on-time attendance.  Coming promptly to school at 8:20am is important because classes start immediately with breakfast and our SEL morning program.  (Lateness and attendance are recorded in student records. )   Also, remember that school ends at 2:40p.m.

A Message from Our Principal

Welcome to PS159, the shining gem of District 19!  Each year we start with a renewed determined dedication to making our school better than ever with exciting programs that reflect our vibrant and diverse community.  We are committed to nurturing, supporting, and celebrating every student so they meet their academic potential with a challenging equitable curriculum and engaging hands-on activities.  

As your principal, I am honored to be part of our school initiatives that provide our students with a nurturing and challenging learning environment based on high learning standards, equity, caring, safety, and respect.

School Visitor Policy

All visitors must show identification to gain entry into the school building.   Visitors do not include students attending school or school related activities in a DOE school building.

Acceptable proof of identification is one of the following:

  • A valid state drivers license
  • Active passport
  • Other legal identification documents
